It’s a space where you’re in charge, letting you build genuine connections and take ownership of your digital presence.

Custom Domains 🌐

Join a social network where you’re in charge. Bluesky’s decentralised framework lets you choose your server, customise your experience, and truly own your data.Algorithm-Free Feeds ✅
Say goodbye to clutter and hello to clarity. Bluesky’s feeds are curated by you, not algorithms, ensuring you only see what matters most.

I’m not exactly new to social media… far from it, actually.
Over the years, I’ve explored and signed up for just about every platform that’s come along. But last month, as the Christmas break rolled around, I decided to give Bluesky a shot.
Now, I’ll admit, I’m definitely late to the party on this one. But with the chaos that Twitter (or X), as it’s now called - has become, I figured there was no better time than Christmas to try something fresh.
Scrolling through my usual feeds felt more like a chore than anything enjoyable, so Bluesky seemed like a breath of fresh air.
And let me tell you… I’m so glad I did.
From the moment I set up my profile, I noticed just how clean and simple everything felt. The interface is refreshing, no ads cluttering up the space, no endless rabbit holes of irrelevant posts. It’s the kind of minimalism that makes you wonder why other platforms haven’t followed suit.
But what’s really captured my attention, and, frankly, hasn’t been talked about enough - is the custom domain option.
This feature is an absolute game-changer. Instead of scrambling to claim a generic @handle before someone else snatches it, Bluesky lets you link your own domain directly to your profile. If you’ve got a personal or business domain, like yourname.com or yourbrand.org, you can use that as your handle. It’s sleek, professional, and completely eliminates the stress of securing your online identity.
For businesses, it’s a no-brainer, your profile instantly aligns with your branding. And for individuals like me, it’s a way to stand out and create something uniquely yours. It’s such a smart, simple idea that I can’t help but wonder why it hasn’t been a staple feature on other platforms.
So, while I might’ve been late to the Bluesky game, I can confidently say it’s been worth the wait.
This platform isn’t just a replacement for the old-school social media giants, it feels like a genuine leap into the future.
If you haven’t given Bluesky a try yet, I’d highly recommend it.
